Part 58: Day 296: Confessions
I'm talking to everyone first because I'm expecting a promotion. You know, after the tedious Leechgrave and the unoriginal Crimson Prankster.
Based on your mission count, you should have found at least 240 or so by now. Come see me when you've managed to fill that quota.
I think we're way past 240 chests by this point.
So you've opened over 240 chests... Very well. Take this. Try not to squander it. (Obtained: Blazing Crystal)
Stop thinking and act. There's work to be done.
Xaldin is very reliable. He never gives out missions as reward
We're now in Master rank! And we can now play as Goofy on Mission Mode!
Mega-Potion and Mega-Ethers are now buyable. They're both useless, as I said in the start. Slot Releaser is always useful, though.
Just some normal LV+. We can't use High Jump LV+ since ours can't be linked. I buy everything here anyway.
On the other hand, we can finally buy the links for the Treasure Magnet (3) we bought last rank. We can actually buy 2 of them now. I also buy Auto-Life LV+.
I also buy this ring. Prize Power increases HP restored from HP orbs while Lucky Strike increases drop rate. By how much?
Air Slide (5) has a very awkward shape. I also probably could use Perfect Block to link to the empty Block slot, but I don't like using it. It just felt wrong for some reason.
And our mission is...another round of the Games. I really hope there's no Guard Armor this time...

Sounds more like exercise than anything else. Well, the sooner I get it done, the sooner I can go find Xion.
Unlike before, there's no Heartless outside to drain our resources. There's also no Demyx to ditch us.
Gear Component C and Fire Recipe. We won't actually get any Firaga beside the one we got from last time we're here.
Am I seein' things!? Rookie, is that you?
I haven't seen you in ages. How are ya?
I'm hanging in there.
That's good. 'Cause that vanishing act you pulled at the end of the last Games had me worried.
Sorry, Phil. Roxas was at his Limit after beating Guard Armor
Sorry...
Well, I figured you musta pulled through. No lousy Heartless is gonna wipe the floor with one of my boys.
It did come close, though.
Speakin' of which, when were ya plannin' to tell me you weren't the guy Herc sent?
Well, if you'd have just liste-
Okay, let's start over, Roxas. Where ya really from? Who sent ya?
Well, there's this Organization called Organization XIII even though it has 14 members. It's filled with Nobodies. We collect hearts to dump on the moon so we can eventually grab them for ourselves.
Umm...well... ...... I, uh... Hmm.
Say no more. I get the picture.
You do!?
That's surprisingly wise of you, Phil.
Forget it-doesn't matter. Let me get to the good news!
Oh yeah? What good news?
The Games are bein' held again today. You got perfect timing, kid. You want in? This time you might even walk home with the title.
I'm sure this mission is rigged by Xigbar. No other mission objective requires interacting with the world.
But-you sure you don't mind?
Sure I'm sure! Just gimme a holler when you're all set.
There's nothing else out here, so let's do the mission.
Yeah, as long as you don't have another Guard Armor.

The first round is...nothing?
Oh. They just spawned late. Sky Grapplers have exactly the same attack as Artful Flyers and Aerial Masters. Its crescent attack is actually light elemental.
Speaking of which, there's also 2 Air Battlers here. Thundaga is great, by the way. There's a noticeable delay between casting and the lightning strike, but it's the strongest magic we have now. And we actually have 3 of them, unlike just 1 Firaga or 0 Blizzaga/Aeroga.
Also, the Sky Grappler are supposed to have 100% Drop Rate for Premium Orbs according to the wiki, but there's plenty of times when it didn't do that. This happened both with and without the Lucky Ring, so I don't really need Premium Orbs, but this is the only good way to farm them.
Roxas still does his victory pose, but Sora's not going to be here anymore.
Moving on from questionable drop rates, we have the second round.
The most important thing here is the Ordeal Badge. This is the only time we can grab it.
The platforms are too high to reach, so the only way to hit the cannons are with the barrels.
We CAN pick up their drops, though, thanks to Treasure Magnet. By the way, Ankharite can only be farmed here.
The third round has Frost Crystals. They die to Fire, which we brought this time.
There's also this Heartless. Its shot swaps its and Roxas' positions. Just like Grey Caprice.
Ice Cannon and Watchers. They all die to a single Fire each.
This is the final round, which means no Guard Armor!
Stalward Blades has the usual attacks. You might think that it absorbs aero, but it actually absorbs everything except it. So no Thundaga or Blizzara or even Fire.
Limits are the best way to inflict damage since we didn't bring Aero.
This is much less painful than the last few mandatory missions.

You musta been stickin' to your training while you were gone. Trust me, kid, it shows. Keep up those workouts, and you're gonna get a lot stronger.
I will.
Good. Now, I gotta head back inside to get ready for the next match, but, uh...
What?
Nothin', nothin'. Well, all right then... I'm gonna go. *leaves*
*Roxas starts to leave*
Hey, Roxas...
Don't be a stranger. *leave*
What, he wants me to come back? For what? More training? Hunh, weird. Well, the mission's done. Time to go grab Axel and see if we can find Xion.

You sure there isn't someplace you're forgetting to check?
I've been everywhere I know how to get to.
Right...
The only place I haven't looked is Castle Oblivion.
Not really. You haven't checked Neverland.
Xion was asking about it, remember?
And the day before she disappeared, you said she was put on an important mission.
Yeah, but... The place has been cleaned out, man, There's nothing there.
Xion might be there.
You know...that's where she comes from. Castle Oblivion.
So that's where today's title comes from.
What? Really!?
That's probably why she was asking about it.
I had no idea...
Hey, neither did I.
Axel still lies even when he's confessing.
She must have a lot of questions. Poor Xion...
